Trifle

 


Kelmarin Noor prepare this trifle untuk kawan di hujung rumah. Sejak dia mengandung, dia kurang berselera makan lantas request nak makan puding nie. Noor pun buat dua bahagian yang satu lagi untuk dia.
Lagipun sekarang musim panas sedap juga makan puding. Puding nie lebih sedap jika kita biarkan sehari dalam petisejuk, keluarkan dan hidang dengan fresh cream. Tapi Noor tak lah bubuh cream nanti tambah berat lagi.
Resepi nie di ambil dalam mag Home Cooking aug 2004.

Trifle

Ingredients
1 vanilla swiss rolls or 750 gm vanilla sponge cake
1can mixed fruits in syrup (850gm)
1 packet (220) gm instant jelly powder (prepared according to instructions on the packet.)
5 tsp instant custard powder
250ml low fat milk

1 clear glass container- either 8 inch diameter round bowl or 8x8 square bowl.

Method
1. Slice swiss roll to about 1 inch thickness and arrange on the base of the glass bowl.
2. Drain syrup from mixed fruit and arrange fruit onto the arrange pieces of swiss roll in a thick layer.
3. Prepare instant jely and when slightly cool and thickens but not fully set, pour onto the fruit layer.
4. Prepare custart by mixing together milk and custart powder. Pour custart
mixture over as the top layer and leave to set for 10 min in a room temp.
5. Then place the whole trifle in the refrigerator. Just berfore serving you can pipe fresh cream or decorate with cherries as desired
.
